Subframe Set, RC36-2, RC30 Style, Street
This lightweight aluminium subframe replaces the stock item and is to be installed as part of the RC30 conversion kit for the RC36-2. Essential for mounting the seat cowling (BPFT-7049), this component is supplied with all brackets and mounting points to substitute this for the original heavy steel OEM Honda item ( 1.43 kg instead of 4.49kg for the original) and has been carefully designed to ensure that all standard components can be refitted close to their original positions, which makes assembly very simple. Furthermore, the subframe has been thought out in such a way as to use the stock RC36-2 rear fender/undertray making for a neat and factory finish to the conversion.
By drawing on TYGA Performance's many years of motorcycle fabricating experience and resources, we are able to manufacture the complete assembly ensuring a high quality standard at a competitive price. The main aluminium spars are formed on our mandrel tube bender using in-house designed and manufactured tooling, whilst other components are CNC machined, laser cut and folded. The various components are then brought together in a jig and hand welded by our team of skilled fabricators. The final attack is a tough and durable Cerakote finish to give it long lasting and easy to maintain beauty. Truly a work of art; of form and function.
As previously mentioned, the original RC36-2 undertray/rear fender (part number 80105-MZ7-000) is retained and bolts on to the TYGA subframe in exactly the same way as the standard fitment. No major modifications are required and this allows for easy fitment of the turn signals, registration plate and battery. The standard YTX12-BS battery can be fitted without issue in the original position, however, with the subframe kit, we supply the battery plate TYLY-0314W for additional clearance and moved the coils to the right hand side to enable everything to fit neatly together.
The ECU has been moved from the side of the original subframe to the top of the undertray and is secured in position by our TYLY-0314X ECU stay, which is riveted/bolted to the undertray.
In the interests of keeping things simple, some of the original fasteners are reused, and where this is not possible, additional hardware is supplied. However, if you (like us) can't cope with fitting old and dull fasteners then much of the Honda hardware is available from TYGA Performance to be purchased separately. (See stock list)
