Triple Clamp Set, CNC, Silver 3D Top Triple Clamp, Black Lower Clamp, CBR600RR Forks to fit MC22

CNC machined TYGA triple clamp set for the CBR250RR MC22 to take 48 mm / 53 mm diameter CBR600RR forks. (For later model CBR600RR which use 54 mm forks on the lower clamp, please change options below)

Designed and machined in-house by TYGA from aircraft spec 6061-T6 alloy. FEA tested and developed for increased strength without unnecessary weight increase.

They are delivered ready to fit with all necessary bearings and lower seal, and even an aluminium top clamp nut, to complete the transformation.

Note this is a race triple clamp set and there is no provision for ignition lock or steering lock when used on the MC22. The ignition lock need to be be relocated

Tightening recommendations:

  • Lower clamp pinch bolts: 23Nm.
  • Top clamp pinch bolts: 23Nm.

Further information and compatible products:

This triple set allows you to fit CBR600RR forks to the MC22 CBR250RR, however, you will need to make other modifications in order or it to fit.

The easiest way is to install the complete front end off the CBR600RR and then you can transplant it directly onto the CBR250RR and therefore everything is compatible and will require no modification. Note however that there will most probably be clearance issues with handlebar components such as clutch lever and brake master and possibly switch gear but it all depends on how high the bars are mounted, what angle and what rotation on the bars the things are clamped as well as the total steering left and right so it is a bit hard to say and can usually be dialed in by careful adjustment. With retaining the complete front end, wheel, brakes, forks etc won't need modification so this is the simplest option

Some people prefer to retain the stock 250RR  6 spoke 3 inch wide wheel for cosmetic or handling reasons. This is when things get a bit more complicated and you need a few things to accomplish this.

Firstly, the wheel/fork combo is not a direct fitment with the wheel shaft and spacers of either model. To complicate things even further, the 2005 to 2006 600R has a different set up to later versions. So for the earlier version, you will need this wheel spacer kit and to source a suitable wheel shaft from an RVF400 or similar.  For later models, you can use the wheel spacer kit here and the good news is that the 600RR wheel shaft is smaller diameter on the later model 600RR and fits the 250RR front wheel. You will still need a wheel spacer kit, which TYGA makes HERE . Then, while we are talking about the two different versions, note that you need front brake rotors the same dimensions as the RC45 for the 2005-6 front end and RC30 type for the 2007 or later front end. Both are 310 mm diameter and fit the MC22 wheel but the RC45 type has more offset. Obviously original Honda rotors are quite hard to find but EBC etc make replacements and some other models have the same fitment. For example CB1000 Big One is the same as the RC30.

You will need CBR600RR front fender. This fender is designed to run a 120 x 70 tyre so the smaller 250RR tyre will look a bit lost in it. Also, the fender may have clearance issue with fairing depending on how high it is mounted and the amount of steering you dial in.  We have front fender lowering stays here if you need them.

TYGA also offer 48mm handlebars but note that the bar is further forward than either the CBR250RR or 600RR stock Honda handlebars so there can be clearance issues with the controls.

As you can see, there is a lot to think about! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
