TYGA Fuel Tanks

Nowadays, there is an ever increasing demand for fuel tanks for the type of motorcycles that we at TYGA Performance supports. Many of steel tanks are now showing their age, and it is difficult to source them without damage and rust issues. In addition, many people want TYGA Performance supply a complete bodywork set including fuel tank, whether it be all in carbon fibre, primed or even painted ready to go on the bike. We therefore decided to develop our range of fuel tanks using specially formulated resins and techniques to bring to market an affordable, lightweight and beautiful solution. Taking advantage of our unique range of skills and capabilities within the TYGA Performance team, the composites are hand made using the very best laminating workers in the business . Not only that, but using our CAD/CAM skills and machining centres, unlike pretty much any other aftermarket fuel tanks  (or OEM for that matter) our tanks have intricately designed and beautifully CNC machined aluminium attachments built into them so there is no compromise with practicality and all stock filler caps, fuel cocks, breathers etc can be installed exactly the same as the original ones.

They weigh approx. 35% less than a steel equivalent and don’t have the associated rust issues. For safety, they have an aramid layer for abrasion resistance built into the laminate and are extremely tough.

We offer fuel tanks both with a carbon fibre plain weave with a high gloss UV resistant finish, ready to use and a GRP version in white primer ready to take paint.  In addition, and in response to customers wanting painted fuel tanks to match their existing or future paint scheme, we offer some of the popular designs such as Rothmans and Repsol and we will be adding more to the range in the future. We are also able to take on custom paintwork on the fuel tanks prior to shipping to the customer’s specification though this will depend on exactly what the customer’s requests.
