Career highlights
I started racing in 2015 and was relatively late to the party as they say. I had no background on the dirt or in road racing but knew that I could have a good crack. I started out on a 1991 VFR400 and ought it as a track bike but had my first race on the production Ninja300 in the ASBK in 2015.
2016 and 2017 saw me compete in the production Ninja 300 again finishing 2nd in the ASBK Supersport 300 Championship in 2017.
In 2018 I made the ambitious step up to a superbike after only 3 years on a motorbike competing in the FX superbike championship and half of the ASBK season having a best finish of 4th in the wet weather. I competed on an old 2011 GEN 4 KAWASAKI ZX10R and during that year had great success finishing on the podium in the FX championship 6 times.
2018 also saw me compete as a wild card on the same bike in the Asian road race championship and was able to qualify and finish all races still in my rookie year on a superbike. The budget was super tight and was pushing bricks uphill to afford the ride all year but we did our best and didn't give up.
2019 I flew across the ditch to NZ as I had been given the opportunity to race on a KALEX KTM MOTO3 machine (ridden by Brad Binder). I was able to win almost every race and take out the NZ moto3 Championship title as well as the NZ TT title.
2019 After the success of this we had the opportunity to wild card in the Australian MotoGP . Again with almost no budget it was a hard weekend but I was able to qualify and be less than 2 seconds behind the world riders on a bike that had 30 km/per hour down on all the other bikes in the field!
2020 sees me back on the production bikes riding for Bridgestone on the Kawasaki Ninja 400 and also competing at a state level for some more bike time on my trusty 1991 VFR400. Throughout the year I am able to jump back onto the superbike riding a GSXR1000 in some of the state events and have recently taken out 3rd in the NSW state Titles.
In short I don't give up despite those that try to convince you and against almost all the odds have pulled off something pretty cool... wild carding a motoGP event within 5 years of riding a motorbike. The people that have helped me get to where I am I would need a thick book to write them all down! The next goal is to give the ASBK superbike championship a red hot go on some current equipment and I am sure I will be able to get results!
I want to thank Tyga Performance for being a part of my story and backing me and my efforts. It's help I never forget and will always stay with me.
